Gay Cruisingspots In New Jersey

Ashes to ashes, dust to dust ...

Questo blog sta diventando una raccolta tecnica delle mie disavventura con il PC casalingo.
Ma che ci posso fare ... preferisco condividerle per i posteri :)

The facts are these: A few days ago my wife called saying that the home PC does not work anymore ', offset by the monitor to see only vertical lines of various colors.

Ok, I think to myself, and 'time to change your desktop. After all, it 'an old PC, has more' than 6 years of honorable service in the back. I had resigned myself ... subconsciously I did not want to hacking, but my curiosity 'of information has had the upper hand. I had to investigate. (And if I have to be honest I did not want to spend the money on a new PC since the new arrival forthcoming).

defer the analysis of the patient for Sunday (that 'yesterday).
The problem only occurs when you start the mode 'VGA graphics, text format all goes well, then I start to fiddle around a bit' in the bios and check that you have not busted any configuration (as I had already 'happened with' hd time ago). Everything seems ok, I make a couple of changes just to try (change the memory dedicated to video card, change the priority 'to AGP, and other small things) but nothing. The problem persists.

At this point I do a little research online with the laptop, I find some articles on various forums about the possibility 'that the video card drivers are corrupt. Well, can 'be, perhaps a virus, who knows'. To support this hypothesia try a live version of Ubuntu. And indeed it works, I can use it without a hitch, then reboot and try to get on xp mode 'anything but safe in fact I still see banding.
So I decided to try restoring the operating system, not Reinstalling. I take the CD, restart ... and I start the recovery ... the procedure deletes the old files and / or sovvrascrive. As long as he remains in mode 'text ok ... then the system reboots to continue the restoration "graphically" and puff ... stripes!

course not 'a matter of drivers.

Now what? I decided to abruptly switch off the PC (by holding down the power button ... and for this I will regret 'after bitterly).
Cut the power, monitor, keyboard ... everything and I open the case.

powder.

untold layers of dust.

is what had happened, the poor has blocked the video card fan making her crazy.
I disassembled and cleaned everything, I mouthed the fan with the spray suitable (which fortunately I). Reassemble everything and voila '. Alright ...

... so to speak. I lost the rest of the day to reinstall XP ... off brutal corrupt installation (

The only regret I have and 'only this, once you open the case.

But all in all it's fine'. I do not have to buy a new PC at least ... for now.
