Knows something about John Dubois (Silvio Orlando), which is not a film for years, and now that he would be able to lead a young star of TV can not even be reminded of a story. To make matters worse, a loss in his apartment in Tuscany has a ruined church in the sixteenth century fresco next. To avoid a complaint and a bad figure, Gianni must accept the bizarre proposal of the mayor of the country: direct representation of the holy Good Friday in exchange for impunity. With a final twist, however, Hans Dubois able for once to do something good.

The Passion of Mazzacurati is secular
At Venice Film Festival was rice with "The Passion" by Carlo Mazzacurati, a film director in crisis starring Silvio Orlando, Giuseppe Battiston and supported by Christian Capotondi. Eight minutes of applause at the end. We met the director Carlo Mazzacurati and the most excellent and versatile actor Giuseppe Battiston.
Italy is a country that tends to lose the importance of values, so that at certain times in life you try desperately to find. She said that "The Passion" is a secular movie, she explains what it means to this definition?
Carlo Mazzacurati: Yes this is my movie. When you do a course there are things that you are aware, and other di cui no.
In a press conference admitted that the film is based on a true story. How did the idea of \u200b\u200bwriting a screenplay and make a movie?
CM: Yes, it's true. I had to renovate a house and the town council has asked me to make this representation and I worried that it would give me permission, I agreed to make The Passion of the Christ. Never in my life I would have thought to do this film if I had not happened to this adventure. The idea of \u200b\u200bmaking a film came when I told a friend what had happened to me and he told me it would be a good idea to create the subject of a film. From there I started getting the fantasies and to work on the project.
When he started writing about the characters had already thought that Christ was the director Battiston, or "failed" would be Silvio Orlando?
CM: When you write, as the characters became more complex, three-dimensional, I needed to imagine real people. Silvio and Joseph arrived early enough in the working group. The idea of \u200b\u200ba big man Christ seemed touching sculpture that goes beyond the version we usually see.
GB: From the iconographic point of view the role of Christ I could never belong. There is a nodal point in the film, when Jesus falls because it broke the chair where he sat, the audience laughs, and Jonathan says, "If you do not like to go home. "I have never read a script so beautiful.
When I was proposed to play this role once you have accepted or have you taken time to reflect?
GB: I accepted immediately, not backing down faced with a similar script. Carlo gave me a gift, have written to me and makes me really proud and happy to have participated.
Yesterday was the premiere of his film, the audience has watched and returning home will have reflected on what he saw. In your opinion what were the thoughts on this?
CM: I noticed that I make films that do not arrive immediately, movies that need time. There are films very nice the first release that will give meaning and concern to them when we find something different and interesting. I think "The Passion" is one of them. I hope that people back home, have reflected on what they saw, because the film has a particular curve: initially the carefree and smiling, but after, it goes away and leaves you in a feeling of entirely different nature.

LA PASSIONE DISSACRANTE E COMICA DI MAZZACURATI
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
denying their faith and respect for the Lord.
is that the Catholic Church accepts this film's irreverent Carlo Mazzacurati.
So the Catholic church is false!

Here is the article:
"Passion" at the Venice Festival Mazzacurati
◊ In competition in Venice today is expected the second title Italian, "The Passion" by Carlo Mazzacurati: Tuscany in setting in a mystery, the involvement of a director in crisis and a whole country will lead to unexpected results. With the tone of the play and in keeping with the theme, a film that makes you smile and think. The service Luca Pellegrini:
Under pouring rain, the cross went up another "poor Christ". No answer traditional iconography, first of all for the many pounds she's wearing. Is acting against his will. It 'an ex-convict who has a heart as big as that of Jesus People, who attended the first silent and composed and involved, and screams at the first drops in the melee, he goes. Leave the scene. Soon forget. Only a feeling of surface. Inside, still nothing. It 's the same old story: Who is nailed, can not escape. And who is free, makes a choice. It is usually the most comfortable and convenient. But Silvio Orlando, in part, that is perfect for him a great actor "semi-comic, a director in perpetual crisis and to lend his art for the passion play in the Tuscan village, we were forced, no, he does not go away, like few others. Look at the crucifix, staring into the eyes Giuseppe Battiston. How do you know that in silent dialogue with himself, of his failures and his own life? We asked the director, Carlo Mazzacurati.
"I think the cinema must, in part, is through dialogue and some remain silent. Each of them has to fill those gaps with their own thoughts. What happens to him at that moment, it's like sudden this thing that has come, unexpectedly, that the strength of what is happening, something that he's returning, deep down, feels he has lost: the ability of invention, inspiration. Almost as if this epiphany, in some respects, with the ricongiungesse lost half of himself. So much so that in the end, he has to have the courage to invent. "
E 'a particular film, then, "The Passion" and, basically, he's courageous dare to treat a subject as important and delicate and serious - the tragedy of a God mocked and nailed to the wood - which looks through a fiction more to comedy than drama. It 's the research of many. Mazzacurati indicates, very frankly, a way.
